And the Winners Are...

Congratulations to all the winners of National trophies this year! For those of you not at the National AGM here are all the winners and categories:

Clacton Ladies Circle do a clean sweep of the CRUK trophies, scooping awards for the most fun/novel way of raising money for CRUK, the most money raised for CRUK (£24,219!), the most money raised for any charity and the most money raised for any charity based upon the number of members in a Circle.  Wow!  Well Done Girls!

The Best Magazine Trophy was presented to Area 3 for their publication 3 Cheers.

Colchester Circle won the trophy for Best Area Website

Karen Flatters, of Area 3, collected the award for Best Piece of Media Coverage for Colne Valley Circle

National Membership Officer, Audrey, presented St. Albans Circle with the Membership Trophy for inducting 11 new members this year.

Long Eaton Circle won the award for the highest percentage increase in membership.  They increased their members from 5 to 11, a 120% increase.  Outgoing Chair Angela Richardson accepted the trophy on their behalf.

Katherine Hartoch, last year’s recipient of the Nordic Hat Trophy handed over to this year’s winner, Morag Philips.

National President Naomi presented Vivienne Bebbington of Dereham and District Circle with the Anthony Nolan Trophy.

The Side by Side Trophy was awarded to Alex Bennett.

Niki Boersma, Immediate Past President, awarded the Best Speaker from the Floor Trophy to Claire Smith.

Once again, congratulations to all the lucky winners!

It’s never too early to start thinking about next year’s awards – you never know, it could be you or your Circle collecting a trophy in Torquay next year!
